Oddball Puppets for 11–16-year-olds
This hands-on workshop for 11–16 year olds begins with a look around the exhibition for inspiration, exploring the puppets on display before a full day of creative making.
Led by artist and educator Sarah Pain, you’ll use recycled materials and your imagination to design and build vibrant, one-of-a-kind puppets. Learn the basics of character creation through assembling, stitching and sticking, with an emphasis on a free and expressive approach.
Using mostly reclaimed materials, it’s also a sustainable way to get creative.
Perfect for curious minds, this workshop is a chance to explore, invent and take home new skills to keep making long after the day ends.
Please bring your own lunch.
