Wild Cordage Making Workshop with Ruby Taylor
Discover how you can make cordage (string) with plants from your garden and landscape. You’ll work with leaves and stems from at least 5 different plants and you’ll learn a range of processing methods to make 2-ply cordage from each. You’ll make a number of samples and leave with the knowledge and confidence to explore and experiment further, inspired by the wide array of cordage samples that Ruby will bring, of over 30 different plants.
There will also be various examples of how cordage can be used, inspiring you to incorporate cordage into your own craft projects.
When you make your own, you’ll never look at a humble ball of twine in the same way again.
Lunch and materials are included.
